Now Dakar is back to Chile! Stage 12 brought good news to Russian fans: now top three lines in trucks are occupied with KAMAZ! The most remarkable in cars is Nani Roma’s (#305) gain of line 3 in overall. The cancellation of the greatest part of the special yesterday mixed up all the positions in a fantastic way but most of crews were not embarrassed with that. G-Force Motorsport crews are among them. Vladimir Vasilyev and Vitaliy Yevtyekhov (#331) though they had to change a wheel and fight their way through dust finished 12th. Boris Gadasin and Alexey Kuzmich (#348) had to stop in dunes to fix some mechanical problem and then to change two wheels, and they finished 14th. However let’s listen to the crews.

The last crew to pass the CP1 (a river wade) was that of Boris Gadasin and Alexey Kuzmich (#348). We already know from their quotes that they overcame an obstacle without any difficulties. Later (about 60 kilometers after) organizers stopped them and informed that the special was halted and nobody else could drive through. Watch the video and read Vladimir Vasilyev's (#331) comments.

Front-pager: Eduard Nikolaev is leading in trucks! Gerard De Rooy met a lot of problems that stopped him several times, first the turbine, then steering wheel, finally the puncture. David Casteu collided into… a cow and lost his position. Marcos Patronelly still has the situation ander his control. Al-Attiyah lost his luck. A good day for G-Force Motorsport.

After Day 8 due to force majeur (weather conditions) the Stewards of the meeting decided to allocate to all cars not having crossed the finish line before the time of interruption “the worst time of the Crew having crossed the finish line” of that Stage before the time of the interruption: time 02h:07m:21s, that is the time of Stephane Peterhansel's crew.
The overall standings will be corrected soon.

Are you puzzled? We do, too. Let’s try to clear it up…
